Boy Retarded

I've decided that I'm boy retarded.. oh man! I didn't really like anyone until Brazil had been gone for almost a year.... Stewy...and he wasn't too good to me and ever since then I've lost all my game! After Brazil left and before Stewy, I had game! I knew how to work the system, but Stewy ruined me! Jerk face.

"Buzz" is my flavor of the week [as my mom would call it, because at the rate I go through them--it is about a week] but he's more like the flavor of the month. He's my age [which is perfect because he's pre-mission aka no commitment, which is my kind of relationship] and he's super fun and way chill.. but he confuses the freakin crap out of me. When we're hanging out it's all good, but then he's always like 'i'll text ya later'... does he ever.. NO.. then when we do text it takes him a million minutes to reply and sometimes he doesn't reply at all.. WTFreak.. so then I think he doesn't like me anymore, but then we'll finally hang out again or see each other around campus, we get along great and he acts like he truly likes me. After that I think that the texting thing will be different, but it never is. So I stop texting him...

The current story of my life is being Sporty and Devin's 3rd wheel.. and I'm SO tired it... so I like to hang out with Buzz because he's friends with Devin and then the 4 of us can hang out sometimes.. and when I stopped texting Buzz, Devin told Sporty that Buzz had commented that he thought he did something wrong cause I wasn't texting him, but really I'm just sick of waiting for him to take his sweet time..

Maybe he's a bad texter [texting is so stinkin ridiculous and yet I do it all the time.. stupid technology] or maybe I'm blowing things out of proportion--it's just a hard situation because if I bring it up then it's like I'm being too clingy and or psycho about it... oh man... and this is an example of why I have NO GAME!

My Sister is ENGAGED! (sorry it's a long post, but its worth it!)

It's been a long time coming and they've had their moments, but they finally took the step and got engaged!!!!!!! I'm so excited for her! Here's how yesterday went...

Sporty and I were planning on waking up late and going to watch the baseball games (aka Sporty wanted to oogle at Devin), but while we were getting ready that morning Sporty turned to me and said it's too bad you have a date tonight because Devin is going up to [hometown] to visit some converts from his mission that moved there.
At that point it dawned on me that "T-dog" was possibly going to propose that night, so I said HOLD THE PHONE!! I texted T-dog and said here's the deal I HAVE TO KNOW whether or not you're going to propose tonight because I might be able to get home.. He said "Ya I'm doing it tonight, what time will you be here?"... At that point there was no turning back...

You would think that canceling my date wouldn't be a big deal, but this kid was coming clear from L-town, which is appox 3 hours away, to take me out! I felt like a jerk canceling, but luckily he hadn't left yet.

After the baseball games we asked Devin if he was for sure going and he said that he still had to call the family, so he called them and he didn't answer! Bah! so we talked about it and we ended up canceling because they probably weren't home. I WAS BUMMED! holy cow i was so stinking sad, so I called everyone and told them that I couldn't come.
About an hour and half later Devin called back and said that if I still wanted to go then we could because the family called him back!!!!!!! YEAH! I decided that I wasn't going to tell anyone we were coming--

It was a two hour drive, but when we were about 5 minutes from my house she called me and we screamed and yelled in excitement as she told me she was engaged. Then she said hold on I'll send you a picture text of my ring so she hung up.. Sporty was in the front seat telling me that I couldn't look at the text and ruin the surprise so I sat in anticipation. She called back, but because I was only about a minute from my house I ignored her call.. Then she called back about 30 seconds later as I turned the corner into our subdivision.. and i ignored it again [she was getting livid with me, but oh well]... the car was barely stopped when me and Sporty dashed out and busted in the door screaming and yelling at the top of our lungs!! It was awesome. I immediately latched onto my sister and refused to let go for approx. 30 seconds! Everyone was astonished and I was so grateful that I was able to be there. She and 'T-dog' told their proposal story and then we all took turns trying on the ring..
holy stinking

The Embarrassing Moment

As you might already know, for Spring Break a bunch of us went to Vegas! I'll post about it later, but here's a quick little embarrassing moment from the trip:
Mother nature came for a visit a couple days before the trip.. no biggy.. but here's where the action comes in! After a long day of walking and sun bathing a couple of us came back to the hotel. There were 8 of us that went.. 5 girls and 3 boys. We got two hotel rooms at Circus Circus and they had the joining door which stayed open most of the day and then closed at night. Well all of the boys were out and about so we used their bathroom to get ready. I was using their bathroom.. did my feminine duty.. and then went to grab my make up from the girl room.

While I was in the other room the boys came home and I heard a yelp from their room and a "WHO USED OUR BATHROOM!" My heart sank and I knew exactly what had happened. The first day we were their I used the girl bathroom and the toilet is long and shallow and the tampon didn't flush... I should've double checked since I was using the boy bathroom, but I was in a hurry and I had left the boys a little bit of a present! YIKES! So everyone was in the boy room & at the moment I was the only person in the girl room. I stood frozen. ashamed. embarassed. humiliated. etc-- What do I do?? Claim it?? Deny it?? Bah!

"Tom Tom" was the one that found it and he proceeded to question each girl about whether or not they had just used the bathroom. My secret would be discovered eventually, so I did the only thing I could do... I threw back my shoulders, took a deep breath, put on as calm of a face as I could, and walked.

"That was me! Oops, [shrug] sorry you had to see that," said Kaylen as she proceeded into the bathroom and flushed the toilet.*

Everyone stood astonished at how I had reacted.

Word to the Wise: It's only as big of a deal as you make it.

& because I played it cool that awful moment won't come back to haunt me at some friend reunion 10 years in the future!

*it wasn't SO bad because it was my very last day, so the tampon was completely clean, but those Return Missionaries still about had a fit ;) ha ha ha

I have an obsession

Welcome to
I love Mac.

Blame my obsession on Brazil [he is a HUGE Mac advocate], but regardless of his influences Mac is now a part of my life!
The day I got my Mac in the mail I had the entire event documented!
...

I also have a Nano and a iTouch!

I hate windows

I go home and use my family's PC and I always end up hating my life! It's slower and if you start it up and click something before it's completely loaded [which takes hours I swear], including all the virus scanning crap [which can literally take hours], then it is slow the rest of the day.

Another peeve... virus scanning software. Because everyone has PC's people make viruses for them and not for Mac, which rocks my world because I don't ever have to worry about buying programs to keep people out of my stuff! Apple has a diagnostic scan every so often that checks the system, but I don't have to worry about McAfee, AVG, Spyware, crap!

My favorite Mac ad:

The choice is easy!
Yes they may cost more but it's worth is to me when you realize how much easier your life is when you convert!
and that's all I have to say about that!

This week has been long...

The good news is that my talk went well [thank you for any and all prayers!]. You know when you cry so much that there are no more tears to cry? Well this was a similar situation. By the time wednesday rolled around there were no more nerves. I had thought and stressed about it for so long, and finally I realized that it wasn't going to consume my week, so I thought about it for an hour or two a day and then I had to push it out of my mind and do something else. My parents came down for it, which I greatly appreciated, and then my mom brought down sunday dinner with her and we had roast, potatoes, salad, fruit, etc. IT WAS AMAZING! It's the best meal I've had since I've been to school ;)

Last weekend the LDS Institute put on a formal dance and Heather's brother "Will" asked me, but he told me that he was wearing a powder blue tux and that he wanted me to wear one of his grandma's old dresses... and I agreed!

Katie did my hair--- we were going
for a "that dress is hideous, but she looks cute in it" kind of a look.. I think we accomplished our goal! :)

The dress was truly atrocious and wasn't slimming by any means, but it had a kickin' spin! I wore shorts underneath so that when I spun I was modest!!
*random picture frame we found
He called me 2 days before the dance and said that he had a brilliant idea. There was a basketball game right before the dance and his brilliant idea was to go the the game dressed up for all to see! So of course we did....
At the dance almost all the girls were in legit formals. Poofy and Beaded. Will and I nominated ourselves as Best Dressed

*get a load of the ring!!!! it tied in the outfits beautifully!

Prayers are always received with a happy heart ;)

I was asked last sunday to speak at Stake Conference this sunday. Humble doesn't describe my emotion.. Low as dirt does it justice.. I'm maybe panicking a baby bit, but it's all good! Any prayers that you might have... send them my way and I will accept them with open arms!
