(remember me?)

It's funny how 2 months ago I was at school.. SUPER stressed and busy, yet I always found time (aka procrastinated) like twice a week to blog. Now I'm home, working, and playing, but I go weeks without posting ha ha I dunno what the deal is but I have a ton of pics to show you so here are the highlights of my last two-three weeks :)

__A couple weeks ago there was YSA (young single adult bowling) in ghetto town that's 30 minutes west... ha ha no but really their bowling alley is worse than the one we have in Hometown! Our lane broke down like 50 times so Lakyn and I resorted to taking cool pics in the black light!

__ This is Ross-- He's pretty much the coolest kid around! We hang out a couple times a week and mostly we love to go to McD's and eat ice cream sundaes at our table

Then we rip up the lids of our cups and spell out cool things like our names-- ya we're awesome!
___Then last weekend Steve (male on right) and his friend Jimbo (male on far left) came to Hometown to play! Please note that we are all squished into Mr. Truck.. it was a tight squeeze for sure!
__This weekend Lakyn and I went out to SLC to hang out and go to the Brand New concert.. So Friday after work we headed up! We have been looking forward to his concert for about a month now and it was well worth the wait! We met up with Steve and a couple of his friends and headed up to the concert. The risk that came with this concert is that I really love his band, but I only really enjoy their old tunes. The two newer cd's aren't really that great in my opinion so I was just hoping that they'd play a bunch of their old stuff ------ and they DID! It was awesome! I didn't take my camera in so the ones pics of that concert are on Kla's so I'll get those from her but ya it was pretty intense! Kla got trampled a couple times, Lakyn's foot is all bruised from being stepped on, but I was just a bit sore-- then again I did have a killer body guard the entire time that protected me pretty well :D

Afterward we went to The Pie by the U of U and had some killer pizza! These are two of Steve's friends-- they were all super fun kids. I would say that meeting and hanging out with new friends/peeps is one of my favorite pasttimes! I always look forward to making new friendships and connections with people! I think it's ubber fulfulling-- anywhoo
please note that this pizza is huge and spanned almost the whole width of the table

__Saturday Samson and I went out to lunch and met up with another friend. Can I just say that I am a Noodles and Co. fan! Holy! I'd never been there before and Samson introduced me to the Pesto Cavatappi with Parmasiam crusted chicken-- OMGosh. It was DELICIOUS! I would highly recommend it. Samson is just the greatest friend! We can go weeks without talking and then get together and we have spectacular conversations about everything! But mostly life in general and I always come away from our chats feeling like I built up my friendship and gained new prospective :D
doesn't he look ruggadly handsome!

___Then Saturday night I headed up north to go to Scary Spice's BRIDAL SHOWER!!!!!!!!

Me and Sporty (dang I miss this girl)

THE WOMEN OF 311! Oh my word it has been like 6 months since we were all together last and I can't even express to you how AMAZING these girls are!

We played the bubble gum game which is why Scary has a wad in her mouth, but look at that little number! SHABAM!

__After the bridal shower I headed back to meet up with Steve Lakyn and Eric, but randomly between meeting back up with my friends I met my bloggy friend ShelbyLou! ha ha RANDOM! and I'm ticked that I didn't get a pic with her but we were kind of in a hurry.. isn't it funny how you meet new cool people through blogging? I kinda love it! So Shout out to Shelby LOU!

___For our double we headed to FatCatz where we endured an intense game of bowling.. We played couple vs couple and I would say that Lakyn and Eric won, but Lakyn really won because Eric had the worst score... regardless their scores together beat Stevo's and mine so blah blah blah---
Look how beautiful she is! Man I love this girl!

__After bowling we went and watched a movie but random side note! In the boy's apartment they have a snuggie rack-- yes I said it.. a SNUGGIE rack ha ha they have like 5! I've never actually used a snuggie so it was a new experience, but it was fun!

I may or may not've felt like a Jedi
AKA this weekend was a blast! It's fun to get out of Hometown and meet new people :D and also to see old friends. Mostly life is great right now!

My New Adventure!

So yesterday at church my friend Lakyn and I were chatting with one of the bishopric's wives .. She is quite a hilarious lady. One second we were talking about life and the next she had us roped in to running a half marathon! Holy cow! I had no clue how cunning she was! ha ha she is quite an amazing lady tho.. she runs marathons and helps other people train for them too-- so she's going to run and train with us every day!

Today was day ONE! I woke up to a phone call from "Karen" saying Hey, it's snowing so get dressed and we'll go as soon as you get to my house... WHAT!? ha ha so we got in the car and drove to her house.. she met us at one the porch and we were off!

As we ran she just chatted-- she didn't break a sweat, nor breathe heavy! Me and Lakyn were tired, panting, etc. :)

We ended running almost 3 miles and for 30 minutes. I really am stoked about this! It's so awesome to practically have my own personal trainer and it'll be fun to do it with Lakyn who is my next door neighbor and SUPER good friend-- so i'll keep you posted on how it goes but here are some AFTER pictures for your enjoyment.

So Grateful

Hey Team..

So it's been a minute since I last posted, but I just want to express how happy I am. I was thinking today about my blog and that I wanted to post, but didn't really know what to post about because I'll be honest I haven't really done anything SUPER notable, yet I'm way happy! So I just thought today about how this change came about--

I've been home for the last month and when I moved home I really was just still struggling with life. I just felt lost. This continued through the break, but after Christmas a switch just flipped and suddenly I was ok! It was a mixture of a lot of things coming together at once, but one of the major things was just the desire that I had to reevaluate, restart, and renew... Like I said in my previous post I have high hopes for 2010!

Some things that have changed in the last weeks:

-- I still think I'll end up at BYU, but I won't even lie I really think I'll serve a mission :D it's something that I've always had a desire to do, but honestly I never thought I'd be 21 and not married (how lame does that sound! ha ha) but here I am 20.5 years old and I just want to serve. I want an adventure so BAD and a mission is the most rewarding adventure available to me right now... I won't say that I am going, but I will say that I feel like I need to prepare myself to serve regardless of whether or not I end up out there.

-- I work everyday so that's pretty standard, but my week looks like this:

Monday-Family Home Evening
Tuesday-Missions Prep in the morning & Baptisms for the dead at night
Wednesday- Institute
Thursday-Institute
Friday-whatever
Saturday-whatever

So as you can see I spend like every night doing church oriented things and it has made ALL the difference in my life. I've wondered why I was supposed to be in Vernal for the next 8 months. I really wanted to go to Provo to meet new people, start fresh, and move on, but it didn't feel right. I didn't understand why until I went and visited "college town" this last weekend.

I was confused because I figured that if I came back to "hometown" I would just sit on my butt for 8 months and pout about life being not fair, but ever since the break ended and I started my routine it's been the complete opposite! I have been happier than I have been in months... I went to visit "college town" and It's not that there are bad people there, but the college lifestyle is just so demanding and if I was anywhere but here right now I wouldn't have near the energy/time that I've had recently to just be able to reflect on my life and really focus on improving and refining myself. It's just been amazing :)

Over the last months I've been prompted to do a lot of things that I really didn't want to do, but I have seen so many blessings for my obedience even though I did most of those things grudgingly. I've had a rough couple months, but I am SO grateful that the Lord has helped to lighten my load and has kept his promises to strengthen and uphold me as I attempt to face life! and I just want to help everyone to come to the realization that God truly loves us. And that we TRULY are in his watchful care.

{Confession} + 2010 EXCITEMENT!

So I purposely didn't blog yesterday with a 2009 rewind.. Why? because I won't lie 2009 has been the toughest year of my life so far and I don't really care to go through and post pictures that help to relive the struggle.

Instead I chose to post today in celebration of the anticipation that I have for 2010! For the last four years of my life I've had such a vision of how my life was going to be at this point and right now my life is everything but what I pictured-- which has recently opened my eyes to all of the opportunities that I have before me!

For the first time in a long time I feel like I can do whatever I want to do!

BYU

MISSION

STUDY ABROAD

TRAVEL

etc.

Let's just say that I could literally be ANYWHERE come 2011.

& did I mention...I'm STOKED :D
