confident.

Today has been a GREAT day so far. The last month has been a roller coaster of decisions and really just been hard for me-- mostly because I knew what I shouldn't do (which is great) but I didn't know what I SHOULD do. So here I am. new apartment. new job. new roommates. new school. new life. But all these decisions were ones that I made without confirmation of them being THE right thing to do.. it was more like well this is the only decently priced place I've looked at so I guess I'll live here. Or I'm accepted to BYU so I guess I'll figure out a major and register for classes (2 weeks ago).

Here I am.

Last night I was going to be watching a movie with some friends that hadn't seen Emma Smith: My Story yet (PS if you haven't seen that movie go see it. Active or In-active. Member or Non-Member... It's worth it. You'll feel better inside after. Promise) Sooo anyway those plans fell through, so it dawned on me that I hadn't had a father's blessing yet for this school year.. and if ever I needed one before a school year it is now. So I grabbed my keys and drove to RootTown.

My dad gave me the blessing and it was perfect. It told me that above everything else, I was supposed to be right where I am. God knows me and my trials. He loves me.

Today I walked onto campus and I was jubilant. I wasnt sure how parking was going to roll, so I left 45 mins early just incase and was 25 minutes early to my class lol, but I didn't care! I sat on a bench outside my building and just STARED at people! ha ha they maybe thought I was a crazy, but honestly I KNEW this is where I am supposed to be. The people that know me know that I'm not a huge byu fan.. I honestly could care less, but today I wanted to go to the bookstore and deck myself out from head to toe in byu gear. I wanted to talk to everyone I saw. After my class (history class) I walked clear to the Wilk eventho I parked South of campus just because I didn't want to leave. I think I might park on the north from now on just so that I can walk all of campus everyday.

Well that's my story. I know it's been a minute since I updated this thing, so I'll be back soon with roommate and apartment pics..

Loves from Cougar Country ;)

(side note: NO I am not becoming a zoobie. Yes I will still cheer for Utah, unless they're playing BYU. No I did not deck out in cougar gear. Yes I love where I'm getting my education :)

Today's Miracle

Because I move in approx. 6 days I've started getting all of my stuff together, but we ran into a problem.. When we were packing up our house in HomeTown we had to organize everything by -stuff we need for now -stuff we need at the rental house -and stuff for long term storage. At the time I thought I was getting married.. So when my mom told me to organize all of my college dishes, rags, pots, pans, etc. I marked it for long term storage. 3 months later I'm not getting married and need to have stuff for my apartment, but the storage unit is PACKED to the brim, so there is NO way we can even rummage around to see what we could find.

Well today I remembered that I had packed one box that contained some picture frames, journals, pictures, etc. that I marked for the rental house, so I started to search the house for my missing box-- well after I enlisted the help of my mom we looked in the last place possible... the garage. We started looking through a couple boxes and right on top was a box full of Flour, Sugar, Rice and a couple pans. The 2nd box was full of plates, silverware, cups, and bowls. The last box was the one that I'd been looking for with all of my stuff in it.. We found everything I needed. Honestly it is a miracle lol- We have things that were supposed to be at our house but ended up in storage and vice-versa, but for this to be left here was unbelievable! So for now it's packing for school. Tomorrow I am going to Arizona to visit my cousin Kate and play in the sun. Then Monday it's my first day of work-- aka back to the real world, but hopefully there will be fun people in my new ward and I'll make a lot of new friends :D plus I'm living with LAKYN! So that is guaranteed good times!

Recap and Some Good News

So pretty much the last couple weeks have been insane (as you know) so here's a quick recap of things I might've failed to mention:

I moved from HomeTown. I had given the bank my two weeks notice before the KJo situation went down because I wanted to make sure I had time in Provo to look for a job before everyone came back for school.. so then the break up happened and 4 days later my 2 weeks was up and I was GONE.
Everyone thinks I ran away because of all the stuff that had gone down, but really it was just unplanned perfect timing. I needed to be done there. So now I'm homeless... I randomly show up in RootTown to stay with my parents or else I'll sleep on Oldest and T-dogg's couch.. so it works

Then it was off to the family reunion in Idaho! I had a BLAST with my cousins. My family is the bomb. They were super supportive of me doing what I felt was right and we just had a great time at the ranch :D It took my mind off of a TON of things

Bad news tho-- the teeter toter broke. Notice Clark looks upset.. that thing has been teetering and totering since before I was born :(

Then we had the 2nd annual Triathlon... and for some reason I attempted to Iron Man the whole thing.. which was DUMB on my part, but my cousin Kate was like we'll do it together! It'll be fun!--- that triathlon was a lot of things, but fun was not one of them... it was about a 2 mile run and then 2 mile bike ride up and down a mountain--
we only had one bike for the both of us so Kate pumped me some of the way. (look at her bod! She is a beast!!) I was a baby the entire time lol I was not in anyway fit enough for this event, but she pushed me through. Then it was the swim
you could only swim about half the time because the river was too shallow, so it was pretty much a run-under-water event. Man. It was quite an ordeal. We were the only girls that did it, so we're for sure proud of that, but we most definitely took last ha -

pics on the bridge
After that it was back to RootTown with the Fam, but I also spent a lot of time in Provo/Orem putting out applications and resumes... yada yada then wisdom teeth yada yada

Our neighbors have an indoor pool that they let us use whenever we want and man then little girls love it. They go swimming at least 3-4 times a week

I made breakfast one morning and look how the German pancakes turned out! crazy! they were massive lol and delicious :D

Ok so that was the catch up. Now this week.

First things first-- I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D I interviewed at a couple places and I was offered a job as a part time teller! It's going to be a 15-20 minutes commute to work everyday which is NOT my favorite, but ya know what at least I have a job right??! I start the 16th. (HUGE BLESSING)

Friday was my Birthday! I am officially 21 :D I won't lie-- it was a little bit of a rough day for me. I was pretty much an emotional. It was a combination of a lot of factors, but my dad was like "Well I guess you can go get stoned now that you're 21! That'll make you feel better"... "Dad, getting stoned is illegal no matter your age..." ha ha ha he was totally joking, but it made me laugh for sure. Then later that day we went up to Heber for a family reunion (dad's side) which really was so much fun.
My cousin Ryan's birthday is the 5th, mine is the 6th, and then my grandpa's is the 8th so we had some cake and ice cream.. it ended up being a great birthday spent with my family :D

Then it was a weekend full of four-square, kick ball, card games, and soccer.
My extended families are so opposite that I love to get together with both sides because we do completely different things at each reunion-- But the things I can ALWAYS count on are Good food, Good people, and Good Times :D.

Then Saturday morning I broke away from the family fun to go to my good friend Seth's wedding in Timpanogas.. and guess who was there!!!--
SCARY! and she is looking just as beautiful as always :D She and her hubby went to the sealing and then I was there because I couldn't make it to the reception or the luncheon.. but it was SO good to see her -- oh and Seth too ;)

Welllll that's all I got for now. Sorry that was a lame update post, but this blog also doubles as a journal, so whether or not it's interesting to read, sometimes I just have to throw in a couple pics to cover the bases of life :D much love
