The Treasure Hunt

It all started Friday night..

KJo's brother Ty and his family came to HomeTown this weekend to visit and because they have three little boys they are all about adventures! Ty told KJo and I that he was probably going to make up an adventure for them to do Friday night and told us we were invited.. So Friday came and we were in the living room and Ty was saying how tired he was and that he didn't want to go and do it, but all the little boys were like COME ON DAD! So he got up and was like ok...

So we all went outside and Ty told this story about pirates that got lost and came down the canal in row boats.. and as they came down they buried treasure all along the way. He and KJo had been bailing hay all day and said they'd found a treasure map when they were working so we wanted to follow it to the treasure... So we started following the clues!!!

(please notice that I am wearing a ring on my ring finger.. what was I thinking that morning when I put that on!?)

The clues took us all over the farm--
After we'd followed like 5 clues we got to the tower by the pond and we heard the little boys yell We found the treasure!! As we got closer we saw that they'd pulled out some candy, a big fake diamond wrapped in a cloth, and then one last piece of paper.. his oldest nephew kind of mumbled through it and then didn't really understand so he threw it aside and went for the candy.. So his sister in law picked it up and said Let KJo read it!! and instantly I was like wait a minute....... KJo grabbed the paper and read "She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her." Proverbs 3:15-- my heart was BEATING out of my chest.. My mind was going a GA-JILLION miles a minute as I'm thinking Is today is THE day.. MY day.. How does my hair look? Is he going to ask right here?? What do I say?! We're going to be taking a million pictures.. Yes! That's what I'm going to say- don't forget. CRAP I DON'T EVEN LOOK CUTE TODAY! But all my thoughts were interrupted when he turned to me and said plain as ever Let's go on a walk! That's when they took THIS picture

My face is half fear half excitement like HOLY CRAP is this happening!?? lol I grabbed his hand and we started walking... the first thing he said was Hey! you took the ring off you were wearing! and I kinda blushed was like Ya! I'm ticked I even wore it today! lol We walked for forever it seemed like.. all the way back to his house and he opened the door to the Jeep and said Let's take a drive! and I'm thinking dude! Just ask! It's killing me!! We drove and drove and drove.. twice around the round-a-bout.. down mainstreet.. we talked a little, but really I was in a daze the whole time! Just in awe that it was REALLY happening! So FINALLY we pulled up to the temple, walked around the grounds and then he stopped, knelt down, and asked. I had been practicing my yes , so once he asked I said Yes! of course!!

LOL Ok now to explain my outfit-- KJo was like Hey we're going on The Adventure tonight so be sure to wear tennis shoes and stuff, becuase we'll walk through weeds, thistle, and sheep poop etc.. so I did.. and you can't wear really cute clothes and Nike's-- so I just wore a black tee and a jacket-- and also didn't take the time to really fix my hair before-- oh well.. what can you do?

After we got in the car and called all our family and a couple friends-- My family was in RootTown, Provo, Draper, etc.. He called siblings in Virginia and Pennsylvania.. Then we sat at his house and chatted with his family. Tyler yelled from the living room and was like Hey my friend Jed is here come and show him your ring.. so I got up and rounded the corner to the front door and---

my WHOLE family was there. THE BEST SURPRISE EVER! I cannot even describe to you how it felt to see them! Up until that point I had been fine.. I knew my fam would have to drive a long way to be there and I was completely content just being there with his family, but when I saw them I instantly started to cry because I realized how badly it meant to have them there with me for that pivotal moment in my life. It was amazing.

I will totally understand if you are about to pass out because Kaylen posted twice in one day, but i had to add to the Monday Maddness--

I got a mesquito/spider/bug bite on my foot yesterday and it is RIGHT where my shoes rub. Ouch. It's itchy!

and also when I came home from FHE my little bathroom holder that usually looks like this

Bummer! I was like what the crap! so I cleaned it up, but please take note that my perfume fell RIGHT on top of the toilet paper stand! What are the chances??!

Moral of the story: you can always find the tender mercy-- even in a Monday Mess :D

What a Start to the Week..

Today started at 6:45 when I woke up on the floor of Kate's new apartment in Provo/Orem.. I jumped in the shower and went out the door without even getting breakfast.

I then drove from Provo to HomeTown and arrived here approx. 15 minutes before I had to be at work... aka I went looking a bit like a raggedy muffin.. but I have a boyfriend already-- so who cares right?? (is that a good philosophy? probably not ha, but it's mine as of late)

I got to work and throughout my shift I processed 207 transactions.. if you didn't know THAT IS A TON! I calculated it and that means I finished a transaction every 2.17 minutes-- now that time was also spent doing other things like: bathroom breaks, monthly coaching with our manager, balancing my drawer, and all the other little things that we do in a normal day at the bank. Which means for the most part I was processing transactions at like one every minute and some are a little more complex and take multiple minutes to do-- anyway long story short we were busy today. I probably gave out at least $20,000 cashing checks and such...

Now I'm off to FHE to do a service project..

It's been approx/exactly 20 days since I last posted and I'm thinking people are probably giving up on me because I'm not consistent at all, but for all those that haven't stopped stalking me ;) here is the story of my life (aka this is an update post)

my family is officially gone ( and have been for a couple weeks ) i miss them terribly...

But in other news like a week and a half ago I texted Kla and said KLA Robin Hood AND Iron Man 2 are at the Drive in this weekend... Why aren't you home this weekend?? ( side note: Kla's and my summer time relationship consisted largely of Drive in movies and laying out at the lake-- so when I do either without her I begin to miss her terribly!) So approx 10 minutes later i get a text from her that says Umm we're totally debating coming out, I'll keep you updated.. and guess what??! They came out :D

KJo and I doubled with them to the show and it was super fun! I stayed awake through all of Iron Man 2 because I hadn't seen it yet, KJo sort of paid attention, but Bo and Kla were out like halfway through ha ha ha Once Robin Hood started I was plain tuckered out, so I ZONKED-- and so did everyone else. I honestly don't remember even looking up at the screen at all lol. The next thing I remember was hearing tons of motors, so I sat up and almost the entire lot was empty ha ha it was a lot of fun!

So life is pretty good! I am currently sick-- which is no fun at all and is also the reason why this post is very dry ha ha. It started like 2 days ago with the standard sore throat followed closely by a runny nose, but today I woke up and my stomach was churning.. in the words of GingerSpice I was brewing.. and it was no dice. All day I've just wanted to throw up so that I could just feel better, but it never came-- Oh well-- Hopefully I will just sleep it off because KJo comes home tomorrow and I don't want to be sick!!

UPDATE: So I wrote that post and then I got on iChat with KJo, but I was feeling super crappy, so I said goodnight and then I went to finish this post and I felt my stomach take a turn so I went to the bathroom, and I was thinking please just throw up, because honestly there is nothing worse than kneeling at the toilet and staring at the bottom of it.. and right then-- shabam I threw up my dinner (I will save you the horror of sharing with you what I ate ;)... after I was done I felt a ton better! So I started brushing my teeth and then brought up iChat again and KJo was like Wow you're smiling now! Because I can assure you I was UBBER uncomfortable before that and most definitely not smiling.. so ya! that is probably TMI (Dad that means Too Much Information.. he just got his first cell phone this week and needs to catch up on the lingo ;) but what can you do!

Well I think that was update enough ha ha hopefully this is just a fluke sickness and I'll be good tomorrow.. we'll see..
