Yesterday was one of my good friend Katie's Birthday (we're old family friends & she lives in the apartment right across from ours). She's a young one and just turned 18 (she graduated high school early). So the night before her birthday we bought a cake and we sang to her at midnight on her eighteenth birthday!.. then 6 girls demolished 1 cake in appox. 3 minutes!!!!
*it looks like she ate it, but really she had like 2 bites and we all consumed the rest ;)

Last night I was in my room on the phone and the women of 311 burst into my room and said get your shoes on. 2 days previously there was a knock at our door and we opened the door and there were 50 empty pizza boxes stacked up to the top of our door.. we were like what the crap! so instead of throwing them away we put them under our kitchen table and then last night we took them and leaned them up against the door of some boys downstairs so that when they opened the door the boxes would come tumbling down.. they weren't home and a bunch of other people caught us in the act, so we weren't as sneeky as we'd hoped to be but oh well... We got some cute pics out of the experience! We kind of want to start a pranking war with some of the people in our dorm.. we figure that we live in a dorm and it's the opportune time to create some havoc.. all we need is an opponent!

Weekend full of interestingness

This weekend was sort of eventful. Friday night one of my friends Brandt called to see if I wanted to go to dinner with Cole and Chantel, so I said sure! When I walked out into the living room there were 4 people waiting for me. Brandt, Cole, Chantel...and Tracy! Tracy can sometimes be interesting... So I'm giggling to myself because I know that she probably invited herself on the date and that this is going to be an interesting night! We drive to a local restaurant and as we file into the seats at the table, she pulls out the seat to sit next to Cole, and Chantel looks at her and says jokingly, are you stealing my seat? and Tracy replies oh I just didn't want to sit by the wall. At this point my date and I are thoroughly enjoying ourselves because we don't have to be directly involved with the situation, we just get to watch and enjoy it! Then come the menu's... at this certain restaurant there is nothing on the menu for less than $9, so as we're discussing what looks good on the menu, Tracey proceeds to dump out all of the change from her wallet onto the table and begins to count quarters.. she then looks up and says, "I'm poor, but I do have a lot of change!" (like I said... a bit interesting) Cole then offers to pay for her meal like any gentleman would, so as the waitor takes our order what does she order? nothing less than the STEAK! $16.00 later... ha ha ha. Those were the highlights of the meal. Many more stories could be told about that date, but I think I proved my point. What can you do in situations like that?! We just laughed it off! Well moving on.. Saturday night was my college's Scholastic Recognition Night. Basically we invite high school kids with high GPA's to this "honors" night where we tell them they're all sorts of cool, but really we just use it as a recruiting tool. PS I'm an ambassador for my college (i'll blog about it later). I was in charge of the entire thing. We've never done one before, so I named it, planned it, everything. It was scheduled for last night and it went really well. There were about 125 people there... and it has been the source of a lot of my stress for the last 2 months, so I'm glad that it's over with. I think we got some really good recruits out of it! So I was really excited about that, but as for now it's back to life as I know it! (PS these names were changed to hide the identity of all participants... as are the names of all the people in my posts fyi)

8 Months to go!

Meet "Brazil"!
Brazil took me on my very first date on August 10, 2005, which seems like an eternity ago! He was my very first kiss and my first love. The last time I saw Brazil was October 1, 2007. He was called to serve the Lord as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints. He is currently serving in the Brazil Campinas Mission (hence his name-Brazil)...and I've pretty much been lonely ever since--bummer I know. Before he left we had many-a-talk about what was going to happen in the future and, though he didn't like the thought of it, we agreed that I needed to date while he was gone, so that's what I'm doing! When I compare my life to a roller coaster, Brazil is the biggest loopty-loop of all! I still love him, but I'm one of those people that cannot make a decision! I like to explore any and all options before I fully decide on anything, so for now me and Brazil are basically Best Friends! I've tried every way possible to make sure that I'm not distracting him, but that doesn't mean that I'm not silently obsessed with him ;) My current task is to date everyone..why you ask- because I'm on the search for someone that even compares. Brazil is an AMAZING person, so it's a tough challenge. There's only 8 months left (round of applause) but until September 22nd rolls around, the search continues...

Blind Date

Sporty Spice likes Devin. Devin is one of those super amazing guys that is a future prophet or something like that... anyways, so being the good guy that he is he decides to set me up with one of his best friends Jake. I HATE blind dates.. so I already know that it's going to be a bit awkward, but to add to the awkwardness of the situation, Devin pulled up facebook and showed Jake picture of me and then told me how stoked and excited Jake is to meet me... awkward...The thing about blind dates is that you're both supposed to go into the date 'blind' but due to the fact that Jake added me on facebook it wasn't quite so blind anymore. The reason that this is so bad is because there are pics like the one to the right where he looks pretty decent and I'm thinking this is gonna be fun...he's pretty cute... but the on the other hand there are pics of him like the one on the left that make you wonder about him. (he probably took this pic while cutting his hair and decided to cut a mullet for like 2 seconds.. but regardless) So guaranteed we're both looking at each other's pics and making presumptuous judgements about each other. The day of the date arrived (aka yesterday). I woke up, worked out, got in the shower, and then BAM... migraine. YEAH! maybe it was a bit of an omen. So we delay our departure so that I can take a quick nap to help through the pain a little bit. Since Jake lives an hour away Me, Sporty, and Devin made the trip out to his house a little later than planned. Our date had to be in the day time because Jake works at the MTC (missionary training center) from 6-9pm. Now this is a good sign. I learned that he'd been back from his LDS mission since September and I was impressed that he was staying close to those standards and working there at night... anyway so first impressions were decent. He looked pretty good, seemed nice. Everything was good, but as the day went on his lack of maturity came out more and more.. for instance: everything was competitive to the 10th degree-he had to win everything-no matter what we did, he told us stories about how his stomach hurt one day and how he had to go to the hospital and "get his stools tested", etc. It was just strange. When boys initially come home from their missions they can sometimes be weird. Some boys get over it quicker than others, but to me it seemed like he was still a little out of the social loops. It's hard because I look at him and he's good looking, and as a member of the church (LDS church) he's great. He made multiple comments about the mission that he served in Mexico and he's an all around good guy, but at the same time I found that I was laughing more at him than with him... Girls are ruthless, but I just knew that that wasn't what I am looking for in a suitor. So the search continues...

explanation #1

You're first question is WTC? (what the crap!??) The answer is that Room 311 is FaBuLoUs! I can only imagine the first impressions that come from the title of my blog and the interesting first post, but I assure you that all these questions will be answered in the near future... even if the answer to your question is the mere fact that I/we are a bit bonkers at moments. My only request don't judge too quickly. Keep reading ;) p.s. there will be an upcoming explanation about the addition of Fresh Spice... she is one of our new roommates and we haven't taken any recent photos with all of us together, so with the crappy help of photoshop...finito (fin-ee-toe) ! Fresh Spice makes a fabulous addition to our family!
