The Last Daze

So I haven't blogged in quite a while.. but there was a ton going on during the last weeks of school and then I've been job searching for the last week... BOO!

Last night with Jesi and Alexa
I will miss these girls

Last day in Leadership Class...

The SUNCenter girls!
Ginger... Why aren't you smiling ha ha
Me and the PRESIDENTS (Andrew SBP 08-09, Will SBP 09-10)
Tagging a TRAIN!
It's always been on my list of things to do...lol
The "We're done with Math 1050" Dance
Me and Ryan... good friends!
We decided that we're going to run into eachother at the mall in 15 years and catch up on each other's lives!
Only the baseball team and ambassadors were left at school the last week because of leadership training and a tournament so we went to "Devil's Playhouse" it's supposed to be scary, but it isn't. I went with a couple of these guys the week before and they were about to pee their pants! They were terrified! It was the funniest thing ever! They're supposed to be these big tough guys, but they were so stinking scared.. a couple even refused to go inside ha ha

The two in the pic below were ones that wouldn't come in the time before cus they were SO scared lol
Justin.. I went to say bye really quick and was there chatting till 4 a.m... I maybe have a crush on him ;)

Right before we closed the door to leave :(
311 Baby!

Ambassadors at Corona Arch

On top of the Arch... I'm the second one from the left

The group on the arch.. look at Scary's hair lol!

Our last moments together.... Posh was probably grabbing my behind--aka that's why I look like I just got violated- probably because I just did lol (Fresh Spice was missing due to the insitute trip)
These are my girls...
The Women of 311, The Spice Girls, ETC.
Your freshman year TRULY is the BEST year! I had a blast. I loved everything about it. I grew so much in spirit and in stature (the freshman 15 is no lie!)... I've experienced life away from home, I've dated and realized with every boy that I went through that Brazil is a PEACH! I've grown to be more accepting and less judgemental. I've seen people who I strive to be like and those traits which I need to avoid or better within myself. Unlike some people I can say that I've lived my freshman year at college with NO REGRETS!

Mother's Day + a tender mercy

Since today is mother's day want to first give a quick 'i love you' to my mom. She's the best... She's always been one of those super great moms that cook real breakfast in the morning and does my laundry... I'm not too sure why we had such a crappy relationship while I was in high school, but we did... We didn't talk too much and if I had problems I usually went to my dad. That all changed when I went to school. It wasn't an immediate thing, but second semester we talked on the phone a lot... probably 2 or 3 times a week (which might be nothing compared to some, but first semester I think we talked every other week). It was great to build a relationship with her other than the casual relationship that we had previously shared. I love my mom!

The other exciting thing that happens on Mother's Day is the PHONE CALL! During his first year out, I went over for Brazil's Christmas and Mother's Day phone calls... but after that Mother's Day I felt really guilty for 1- taking a little bit of MMIL's (mother mission in law) time and 2- I felt like I was maybe crossing an invisible standard line. I know I'm not the only girlfriend that's talked to their 'missionary' but I felt that we'd be blessed if we followed the unspoken rule.

Christmas this year was hard... the whole hour that I knew they were on the phone was one of the worst hours of my life. I was nauseous, numb, miserable, etc. It was a really hard day knowing that I was putting myself through this.. no one was forcing me to do it-it was my choice, but this year I was good! I didnt think a whole lot about it.. at about 6 pm i got a text from the Larsen's and I replied and asked if the phone call was over and they said not yet. I told them to text me when it was done so i could come over and get all the details. At about 6:30 I got a text that said to come over, so i left. Right before I turned down their street, Brazil's dad turned up the road. As i parked in front of their house, MMIL was standing on the side stairs with a phone to her ear... she waved and mouthed something like "it's HIM" I immediately ran to her side and we shared the phone. I held my breath the whole time and I didn't say a word... He had NO CLUE that I was even there! It was the end of the call and one of the last things he said was basically 'tell you know who you know what'. Me and MMIL looked at each other and tears streamed down both of our cheeks. All she said back was "She knows"... then they said their goodbyes and she reminded him that they would see each other soon enough (4.5 months!!!) and then they hung up. It was one of those tender mercy moments. I KNOW that Brazil and I are being blessed for our obedience and it was a complete tender mercy to hear his voice, even if it was only for 20 seconds! FMIL was the one that had texted me. He thought that the convo had ended because he had to leave, but Brazil was reminded of one more thing that kept him on the phone for a couple more minutes.... :) I'm happy. I know it's cheesy that we cried, but after so much time and effort being put into keeping this alive it's reassuring every once and a while to hear his voice and remember that he's not a figment of my imagination.

Even though there isn't much time till he comes home I still have a hard time putting ALL my eggs in his basket, but I am just SO stinking excited for the day when he's back!

The End is Near

The year is over--

I cannot even believe how quickly it's gone by! Finals were over last week, but we had fall leadership training this Monday and Tuesday, then tomorrow morning the Ambassadors leave for a two day trip to Moab. Once I get back from Moab we check out of our apartment and The Women of 311 (minus Fresh Spice, who is on the institute trip) are heading to a dance club up north where we will most definitely dance the night away. After that we'll have our final sleepover. Friday one of our friends from school is getting married, so we are heading up to the reception and then The Women of 311 will head their separate ways... SAD DAY!

There are so many reasons why I don't want this year to end:

1-
My blog name now has no relevance to my life... CRAP! (I have no clue what to name it, so feel free help me brainstorm a new name...)

2- My summer is going to be lame. My hometown is not too exciting in the summertime and I have a feeling that it's going to drag on forever while I count down the months till Brazil's return...

3- My summer job is at the bank as a teller and the chances of me eating 20+ toosie rolls a day and then having no motivation to work out all summer long is about 90%... CRAP

**Depressing Tangent- A couple days before Brazil left we took a jillion pictures and I wore a white button up shirt-- I tried to put on that shirt the other day and it didn't fit... I thought the buttons were gonna bust off. OH MAN! I've gained approx. 20 lbs. since he left. I need to get my butt into shape to say the least!!!!

4- I will miss my roommates more than life itself... :(

5- Many of my friends graduated this year and a couple of my friends are leaving on missions-- I'll probably never see some of them again

6- Next semester is going to be rough. 17 credits, a 25 hour a week job, and ambassadors... BOO

7-I hate moving and unpacking, knowing full well that I'll have to do it all again in 4 months

8- Summer means that Sporty is getting married sooner :(

Well that was my whining list so I guess I'll list a couple positives :

1- My mom's cooking :)

2- Once summer is over Brazil will be home asap

3- My bank account will begin to increase for the first time in a long time

4-It's warm outside :)

---- that's all i've got---

I'm in such a somber mood right now- I don't like change and I cannot even believe that my freshman year of college is over. It's unbelievable! But life goes on and I'll hopefully keep the relationships that I've created this year throughout my life.

I promise that my next post will not be a venting session.. It'll be full of fun pictures of my last weeks... so keep an eye out ;)

SO SICK OF BOYS...

Oh my goodness. I'm done! I am SO DONE! Because Brazil was the only guy that I ever really dated I guess I figured all boys were like him. I figured all guys would want to be around the girl that they supposably liked, were thoughtful and even considerate. BOY WAS I WRONG! Boys are self centered, arrogant pieces of crap! oh my! If I have to play their stupid games ( I am NOT one to mess around with retarded mind games. They are such a waste of time- I've discovered I like it much better being straight forward) anymore I'm probably going to freak out.. oh wait I'm probably most definitely freaking out right now. I've been at college for 8 months and had 4 "situations" and 3 of them ditched me (or had girlfriends... Stewy) and the other one wanted marriage after a week- I didn't... I won't lie, before college I had never ever been shafted. I thought I was pretty high and mighty-- Let's just say that the Lord as done more than humble me this last year and made me ever so grateful for a boy that is 8,000 miles away.

Don't be concerned... I'll get over it by tomorrow--maybe

This has been another venting session (also about boys) brought to you in part by blogger
